Lysa Miley, MSW

                                                Location: Ontario

"You’re not alone. Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone. I believe in the capacity for people to grow, change, and experience joy; but we must do the work. It’s not always easy, but it is very rewarding." ~Lysa Miley

Lysa Miley is a current student in her specialized clinical year at Northwest Nazarene University. Her therapeutic approach is weighted in the way we think. Cognitive therapy is based on the idea that when you change the way you think, you can change the way you feel and behave. If we can learn to think about ourselves and other people in a more positive and realistic way, it will be far easier to resolve conflicts and develop rewarding personal and professional relationships.

One of her favorite books; Oh! The Places You’ll
Go, reminds us that through the good and difficult times, we must remember to dream and believe in ourselves.

Dr. Seuss wrote it best, “When you're in a Slump, you're not in for much fun. Un-slumping yourself is not easily done…You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so… get on your way!”
