Allison Sandlin

LAMFT, MSW

At times on our journey we all need a therapist to help us hold our story compassionately, and to

reflect back to us our own higher wisdom and truth. We lose our way, and feel lost or beaten

down. We need fresh perspective in order to sniff out the trail of meaning, courage, and hope in

our lives again.

I am passionate about helping people, and I bring many creative tools to my work with my

clients, supporting them to find new patterns of behavior, improved relationships, and fresh

thinking about themselves and their own sense of possibilities.

I graduated in 2014 from John F. Kennedy University in California with a MA degree in Holistic

Counseling and Psychotherapy/Expressive Arts Therapy, and hold an AMFT license.

Since 2011 I’ve been supporting clients in a variety of settings including community mental

health, schools, and intensive outpatient programs. I have experience working with family and

partner relationships, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and sexual trauma.

I enjoy working with all age groups, couples, and families; supporting each individual to find new

ways to communicate, to find hope, and to thrive!

Using a meaning based approach, I engage clients with DBT skills, Mindfulness techniques,

communication tools, and art, to find new ways to adapt and heal!
