QMHA

Hello!  I grew up in Fruitland, and studied history, literature, and journalism at the College of Idaho during my undergraduate years.  After I graduated college in 2013, I joined the Army and worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  This is where I first recognized the biopsychosocial impacts of mental health on healing physical injuries.  After serving in Germany and Hawaii, I sustained a serious injury and retired from the Army in 2021.  Upon my return to Idaho, I decided to pursue a graduate degree in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University.

I have an eclectic interest base, from history, literature, brain science, and almost all non-fiction.  I love hiking, yoga, crossword puzzles, cross stitching, travel, foreign films, reading, science fiction, and board games.  Within mental health, I am fascinated by the mind-body connection, trauma healing, research, child welfare, and policy work.
