Marilyn Dickerson

QMHP

Hello! I’m Marilyn, and I’m here to support you on your mental health journey.

I grew up in the Monterey Bay area of California and have since lived in Oregon and Idaho, where I currently reside. After earning my bachelor’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, I pursued a master’s in Mental Health Clinical Counseling at Grand Canyon University, which I’m still attending. I have a deep passion for writing, golf, spending time with my pets, gardening, and enjoying family games/puzzle nights. Rainy days bring me joy, especially because they often lead to the most beautiful rainbows after the storm.

As a Qualified Mental Health Professional, my approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping you live a more fulfilling life. I believe that each person’s path to healing is unique, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, insight, and tools tailored to your individual needs.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, or simply navigating life’s ups and downs, I’m here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and develop the skills to thrive.

I take a person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and resilience therapy approach, which means we’ll work together to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a way that promotes growth and healing. My goal is to empower you to understand yourself better, build resilience, and create lasting change.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, but I am committed to making this process as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Together, we can work through challenges, celebrate progress, and unlock your full potential.

If you’re ready to begin or have questions about therapy, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to help you take the first step toward a brighter tomorrow.
