MSW

I would like to commend you for choosing such an awesome path, and taking the steps necessary to obtain an overall healthy well-being. Reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of strength. Asking for help means you are taking responsibility for your LIFE.

I am Reneatha Newell- Hupp; a Qualified Mental Health Therapist seeking to support you with whatever issues you may be facing; guiding you to unlock the full potential that’s already inside of you. I’ve earned my Master’s degree in Social Work, a (“Helping Profession”) from Jackson State University with a Bachelors in Social Work from The University of Southern Miss. I am an energetic, inspirational, empowering Therapist dedicated to helping you reach your overall desired outcome regarding your “Mental Health”.

I value advocating on behalf of the vulnerable, mentally ill, and oppressed populations; treating each individual with care and respect, acknowledging the significance of human relationships, to enhance human quality of life. My superpower is that I am a solution- focused problem-solver with a gift of advocacy. I am patient, understanding, warm and welcoming. I have been told that I am resourceful, a pleasure to work with, and dependable. I am a good listener which helps me to understand how to better assist you. I always feel overwhelmed with joy when I am able to make a difference in someone else's life.

For the past 6 years, I have had the greatest pleasure transforming lives, serving and advocating for individuals and families in the community to include vulnerable populations such as the economically disadvantaged, elderly adults, at risk youth and adolescents, juvenile delinquents, those with chronic health conditions, and those with severe mental illnesses. I have worked with children and families with severe behavioral issues in an in-home setting, residential treatment facilities, leading juvenile support groups at an all- male adult detention center, leading various support groups in the community, serving and meeting the needs of the geriatric population, working in clinical settings to address client needs.

I provide telehealth services at your convenience. Our teletherapy sessions are a safe space, “non-judgmental” zone to express your feelings, vent, share ideas, ask for opinions and get support without fear. In this safe environment you can come to better understand and examine various aspects of your life and learn how to build new and healthier relationships, to resolve problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, and/or somatic responses that have created undesired circumstances in your life.

I implement a Spiritual approach to enhance the lives of my clients as such an approach helps those struggling with addiction, depression, and anxiety; lowering anxiety, improving self-esteem and physical functioning all while developing a sense of purpose.

I am honored to SERVE & SUPPORT you and I can't wait to meet you!
